Serena will be performing as the Radio Announcer in the staged reading of The Lord of Wealth for the Consortium of Asian American Theaters & Artists (CAATA), directed by Kiran Merchant. She is also producing and starring as Myra Patel in the upcoming staged reading of her original play, Renegade, through House of Vanvas LLC.

Recently, she performed as the reader for the staged reading of On Caring for the Beast (dir. Kiran Merchant) at Atolye Venue & Bar NY, and wrapped up a run performing as Tanis for The Notey Boys at FRIGID New York’s Under St. Marks Theatre. Her recent training includes BADA’s Midsummer in Oxford program (Much Ado About Nothing) and Shakespeare & Company’s Summer Intensive (Othello).

Meet Serena Arora!

Serena Arora is a New York-based South Asian American actor, poet, and singer-songwriter who has been telling stories since she was three years old. Raised by immigrant parents in Lynnfield, MA, her childhood soundtrack was an eclectic mix of Bollywood classics, pop music, and rap, punctuated by dance classes, pageants, and eventually the musical theater bug she caught in middle school. After completing a year at the Atlantic Acting School Conservatory and earning a BA in English with a minor in Theatre from Boston University, Serena has channeled her vibrant energy into diverse artistic spaces.

She is a published poet of The Beast Within, the indie artist behind the 2021 EP Painted Blind, and is currently writing and composing House of Vanvas, an original one-woman show heading toward a 2027 stage premiere. Praised by collaborators as a diligent, hardworking, and contagiously enthusiastic ensemble member, Serena brings an irreplaceable joy to every room she enters.

When she is not working, you can find her strolling through Central Park, fueling up on cold brew, hunting down new horror flicks in theaters, or chilling at home with her cat Katniss.
