Serena is currently appearing in Hamza Khan’s new play The Notey Boys at FRIGID New York’s Under St. Marks Theatre, serving as a swing and understudy for all roles while performing as Tanis on the Saturday shows.

She recently trained with BADA’s Midsummer in Oxford program, playing Friar Francis and Verges and the Messenger in Ben Naylor’s production of Much Ado About Nothing, and played Emilia in Othello with Shakespeare and Company’s Summer Intensive in Lenox, MA.

Meet Serena Arora!

Serena Arora is a New York-based South Asian American actor, poet, and singer-songwriter who has been telling stories since she was three years old. Raised by immigrant parents in Lynnfield, MA, her childhood soundtrack was an eclectic mix of Bollywood classics, pop music, and rap, punctuated by dance classes, pageants, and eventually the musical theater bug she caught in middle school. After completing a year at the Atlantic Acting School Conservatory and earning a BA in English with a minor in Theatre from Boston University, Serena has channeled her vibrant energy into diverse artistic spaces.

She is a published poet of The Beast Within, the indie artist behind the 2021 EP Painted Blind, and is currently writing and composing House of Vanvas, an original one-woman show heading toward a 2027 stage premiere. Praised by collaborators as a diligent, hardworking, and contagiously enthusiastic ensemble member, Serena brings an irreplaceable joy to every room she enters.

When she is not working, you can find her strolling through Central Park, fueling up on cold brew, hunting down new horror flicks in theaters, or chilling at home with her cat Katniss.
